Cooperation with experienced partners

Cooperation with other institutes and scientific institutions is an essential factor of success for an international research and testing institute. At a national level, RTA has therefore established close links with the enterprises of the Austrian Research Centers (ARC) and carries out joint projects with the Universities of Technology in Graz and Vienna.

In order to strengthen its international expertise, Rail Tec Arsenal has also established a close cooperation with the IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration). Rail Tec Arsenal not only heads the "Mobile Air Conditioning" Working Party, but also contributes to active knowledge transfer by organising conferences and workshops.

Rail Tec Arsenal is a member of CAWA (Climatic Automotive Wind Tunnel Association), a European association of climatic wind tunnel operators. This organisation has been in existence for more than ten years and considers itself as a network for the optimisation of test facilities for road and rail vehicles. Members include the automotive industry as well as independent research institutes committed to the optimisation of wind tunnels.

These close links are complemented by numerous contacts and cooperation with a wide range of international research institutes, universities and industrial competence centres.

RTA’s active participation in national (ON) and international standardisation bodies (CEN, ERRI) is mainly focused on issues of air conditioning and braking.
